SATURDAY Part Two
Saturday continues with more panels and Guest of honor speeches
The Barclay Shaw Artist GOH speech was presented with the Science Fiction Convention tradition of not being able to have a projector or cable to connect to the projector so we could see the art on the big screen that conventions have embraced over the years. I remember one convention where there was a projector, the cable was connected and the slideshow was actually projected on a screen for all to see.
How disapointed we all were that year!
Happily, they weren't able to connect a projector to Barclay's laptop so we had to gather around him to see the images on the laptop screen. Albacons non projection GOH Artist reputation is still intact!

Todd McCaffrey
The guest of honor was Todd McCaffrey who was amazingly nice and down to earth. His story as well as his stories of Anne which were sprinkled throughout his talk were chatty and interesting.
Todd is either referencing The Prisoner or he's looking for that Projector cable!
After the speech we were all up for a rousing game of Pern-opoly!

I didn't stay for the interview, there was supposed to be a panel next door with the Star Trek Phase II crew (Hence the Enterprise flying out of the Classic Adventures Logo at the top of these pages) but they didn't make it.
While I was waiting to see if they ever would make it I struck up a conversation with another Long Island fan who maintains the Destinies Podcast site
(Which is really good, just not as good as the Destinies Archive here on Captain Phil Online!)
